California exercise tests resilience while meeting regulatory requirements

Drills and exercises play a vital role in ensuring preparedness, not just within companies but across stakeholder networks too.

Navigate Response was pleased to take part in the annual Incident Management Team Tabletop Exercise (IMT TTX), run by WittO’Brien’s and held at Cal Poly Maritime Academy. This large-scale exercise, with more than 100 participants, was an important element in WOB’s ‘Partnership in Compliance’ program, satisfying the US Coast Guard and California State regulatory requirements for vessel exercise plan holder compliance.

The exercise simulated a collision in US waters near San Francisco. Navigate Response team members contributed media ‘injects’ for the two-day exercise, utilising our industry-leading Triton media and social media simulator to provide real-time media pressure for participants. Crucially, we also played a central role in the Joint Information Centre for the exercise, ensuring timely information was communicated to the public and stakeholders.

We were delighted to be able to inform, guide and test all the responders and authorities taking part in this challenging exercise.
